Italian Abra Iride Company invented a new abrasive technique
in 1988 and manufactured PATTENTED "PROTOS" abrasives. Protos
abrasives have been developed as long as years and demanded with its
patented name as it increases production capacity with higher belt speed
and lower pressure (without giving any damage to stone) than conventional
magnesite and synthetic abrasives.
It is not effected by heat and coldness; water and humidity; and keeps
its functions same for long years. It is cost per meter square is lower
with its highest performance. DIAMOND and GRANITE abrasives have been
manufacturing by keeping same principles and experience gained from
PROTOS.
MOST BRIGHT AND MOST ECONOMICAL POLISHING TECHNIQUES SPECIAL FOR YOUR STONE
For removing roughness that is smaller than 3-6 micron
and getting brightness like mirror; it should be used either high technology
products or abrasives that provides ECONOMICAL POLISH like LUX 2000, 3000
and 5000 which have thinner grains;POLISH like LUX 2000, 3000 and 5000
which have thinner grains; or Abrasives that is included OXALIC ACID which
have a reaction with CALCIUM CARBONATE (main content of marble) and called
as 5 Extra commercial name.Connector should arrange resolution speed of
OXALIC ACID according to movement of polishing head and appropriate to
stone. Abra Iride presents 14 different 5 Extra, each have different connector,(PU,MTR,MNR,
MDR, LTT, LT, LN, LDD, STT ,SN, SD, SDD) to get best polishing on different
stones and machines. POLISHING FELTS (PUL IRIDE) are also manufactured
for cleaning wastes or reaction.
In recent years, some stones are being demanded as aged or honed (with dull polish) instead of polished stones. For honing, it is required to use 240, 320 or 3 / 4 grains according to degree of dullness, and then DULL POLISHING ABRASIVE (HAIR FELT) is used to polish abrasive traces, and get smooth and dull surfaces. Now, AGING is not problem; you do not need to make investments on sanding and acid machines; it is possible to make SURFACE and EDGE AGING by using AGER ABRASIVES series appropriate to your stone and machine on your normal polishing machines. It is possible to have an ANTIQUE surface by using VIEUX on aged surfaces and bringing the colour and veins of stone.
