WASTE WATER RECYCLING & MUD DEHYDRATION SYSTEMS
  • PRINCIPLE OF SYSTEM OPERATION
  • Waste water coming from the process is collected via channels into a pool that has proper shape and size. It is transferre from collecting pool to sedimentation tank by a plunger type waste water pump that is controlled by level sensors. Flocculant is injected into the feeding pipe during pumping slurry to sedimentation tank. Solution can be prepared according to the system capacity with graded automatic mixer or into a simple tank wiyh one mixer. Folocculant acts on a small particles to become bigger by cohering them together. So, while the time of sedimentation process is becoming shorter, its effectiveness increases.
  • Slurry that is transferred to sedimentation tank passes into decanter. Eddy flow is converted to laminar flow in the decanter. Thus, solid particles are canalised with laminar flow to bottom of cone section of the tank. Centrifugal force acting on slurry at the outlet of decanter canalises solid particles to cone section of the tank and water to top of the tank as a result of specific gravity difference. Flumes at the top of tank are designed to prevent possible eddy flows after the the decanter outlet. As water rising to flumes with laminar flow does not drag solid particles upwards, it does not spoil productivity of sedimentation. Recycled water passing from flumes can be collected into a steel tank, a pool or a air pressure tank. If it is collected into a vertical tank that has suitable height, clean water can be disributed to factory by natural fall without additional energy.
  • Mud that is collected into bottom of sedimentation tank is automatically discharged to mud homogenisation tank according to appropriate periods and discharging time to filter press capacity. Mud, leaning to becomes solid as a result of flocculant, is mixed with a mixer continuosly to keep it as homogen liquid for pumping. Liquid mud is transfered to filter press via high pressure pump. Solid substance accumulates between filter pres plates that is closed at opposite pressure appropriate to hydraulic cylinder. Water, inside mud, is filtered by filter cloths; fills into channels that is beside the plates and then flows to waste water collection pool again. "CAKE" that is obtained between plates is discharged by automatic shaking movement to a container, truck or a trailer under the filter press. %97-98 percent of waste water is recycled with this full automatic system.
